The horrors of war come readily to mind these days and we all remember the tragic images of families clinging to US military planes as they took off in August 2021. Hundreds of those families have now made it to Delhi, India but their struggle is far from over.

With no Indian work certifications, families are forced to take illegal jobs which pay them so unfairly that it borders on slavery. Their savings are gone and their meagre incomes barely cover rent and utilities. With no way to feed their children, fathers have begun taking loans from dangerous loan sharks who are now threatening violence if they do not pay back their loans.
"We need this food. But we don't want it. We want to work for our own food."
